Marc Lewis

Marc Lewis is a co-founding Partner and CEO of the firm, with three decades of experience in retained executive and board search nationally, and for the past two decades internationally. His clients range from private equity-backed companies in fintech, healthcare and financial services, B2B and B2B2C marketing/digital commerce to large global publicly-traded companies in technology, hospitality, manufacturing, consulting and other large service-oriented businesses. Most searches have been for Board, CEO and other C-level or functional leadership searches for organizations where business and information intersect.

Marc is recognized as an expert on management and human capital trends, featured or relied on by CNBC, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Fortune, Business Week, CIO Magazine, Information Week, Computerworld, CNET, and Bloomberg. In addition to recruiting CEOs, technology, and digital leaders, he has placed strategic C-level leaders across general management, finance, marketing, human resources.

As President, North America of a U.K.-based search firm’s startup U.S. beachhead, Marc led what became a $5 million revenue business in only two years before launching Leadership Capital Group with several colleagues from that firm. Previously, Marc worked at a top-three global search firm, and then as a Founding Partner of the New York headquarters of what became a global boutique search firm one of the top three digital/technology-focused executive search firms. Earlier, Marc worked for a bulge bracket investment bank, for the nation’s largest real estate investment/development company and was a board member and investor in a database software company that was sold to a group of private investors.

As a recognized volunteer leader for educational institutions including Phillips Academy Andover, Dartmouth College, and Stanford University, Marc served for over a decade apiece as Alumni Club President and on Trustee Nominating and Selection Committees. After graduating from Dartmouth College with an Honors Major in Mathematics & the Social Sciences while holding two jobs including Publisher & President of America’s oldest college newspaper, The Dartmouth, he earned his MBA from Stanford University. Born in Japan to a military family, but originally from the Northeast and New England, Marc speaks French, resides in Westport, CT and has a daughter in consulting who works in Boston and London, and another daughter who is a high school biology teacher in Wilton, CT.
