John V. Jazylo is a Partner of the firm and is based in the New York metro area. He is a key member of Leadership Capital Group’s Information Technology, Financial Services, and Board & CEO Practice areas.
John has recruited Chief Executive Officers, Chief Information Officers and other functional senior leaders for some of the most recognizable global industry leaders, including Liberty Mutual, Honeywell. Ford, General Motors, Michael Baker International, Cooper Industries, AIG, and JPMorgan Chase. He also has assisted private equity and venture capital firms in identifying and recruiting senior executives who have led successful growth outcomes for their portfolio companies.
Immediately prior to joining Leadership Capital Group, John served as an Executive Vice President of one of the world’s largest retained executive search firms and was previously President, Managing Director and Founder of JVJ Associates, a human resources consulting and executive search and assessment firm. John’s consulting work has focused on organizational performance (assessing teams and managing change), leadership development (coaching and developing leaders), and talent acquisition and management (identifying, attracting, and retaining talent and managing Board and executive succession).
Prior to his work in executive search and human resources consulting, John led NYNEX Development Company as its President and Chief Executive Officer, guiding this multi-unit holding company specializing in network management, customer service, multi-media, computer processing and venture capital.
Before NYNEX, John held senior management positions with American Express Company and Warner Communications (now Time Warner) where he provided general management leadership, held P&L responsibility for global transaction processing and electronic distribution of products and services. He also has extensive international experience in Europe and the Pacific Rim.
John has authored several treatises on the delivery of financial services to consumers and corporations including co-authoring a textbook on electronic funds transfer. He holds a degree in Economics and is a graduate of Brown University Graduate School of Banking. He also has completed Harvard University’s Advanced Program on Negotiation and Difficult Situations and is a professional certified leadership coach. In addition to serving on several non-profit boards, John was a member of the board of Maxima Corporation and was head of the audit committee.
