SVP, Information Technology & CTO
Mike joins Kaiser with extensive private sector and government experience in technology and innovation. Mike brings more than 20 years of CTO and CIO leadership experience with Fortune 500 organizations, including Royal Caribbean Cruises, Koch Industries, Sybase, General Electric, and General Dynamics. Most recently, he served for five years as the CTO and Deputy CIO for the U.S. Government, where he was recognized for exemplary leadership and service.
Throughout his career, Mike has provided innovation leadership by architecting systems modernization, delivering dozens of profitable enterprise-wide systems, creating compliant systems for data integration, and reducing IT costs through the standardization and application of tools.
In this role, Mike will lead a central team to define technology and platform standards, roadmaps, and strategy for the entire organization. By creating and implementing a unified technology strategy, the CTO organization will help Kaiser Permanente solve for affordability by choosing and implementing technology standards in the most efficient and effective way across the organization.
Mike earned a Master’s of Business Administration from University of San Diego and a Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering from Iowa State University.
