Mr. Borgia was the Acting Director of the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence. He was consistently recognized for his leadership by the Secretary of Energy, the FBI, and among Intelligence Community principals. In his most recent role with the FBI, Stan administered Counterintelligence, Counterterrorism and Global intelligence programs for DOE and has guided multi-level organizational transformation involving leadership development, threat analysis, science and technology innovations, and program architectural redesign, as well as the full spectrum of administrative matters, including construction and implementation of financial management. Before his assignment to the Department of Energy, he served as an FBI Special Agent for 25 years.
Mr. Borgia was the recipient of the highest awards and commendations available to Department of Justice, the FBI, and U.S. Government Executive Branch employees, including the Attorney General’s Award for Exceptional Service, the National Intelligence Meritorious Unit Citation, and the Service to America Medal for Homeland Security. He and the “Lackawanna Six” terrorist task force were also recognized for outstanding service by the 108th Congress.
Mr. Borgia was born in Norwalk, Ohio, where he received his early education. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Bowling Green State University. Mr. Borgia is married and is the father of three children.
