A seasoned and proven P&L General Manager with twenty five years experience as CEO/President of software and technology based service companies, especially high volume transaction based businesses – including credit, debit and stored value cards, telecom/data communications services and software, HR services, information services, insurance, facilities maintenance and legal/litigation support – $0 to $800 million in revenue – Carl has run businesses for early stage/private to large publicly traded companies both domestically and internationally. Participated in over 100 acquisitions and subsequent integrations.
Carl has serve on Boards and in senior executive roles for such companies as Arthur Young (Ernst & Young), Ceridian, ADP, ITEL, The New York Times, International Telecharge, Global Learning, EduServ Technologies and HR Logic as well as in Advisory or portfolio company CEO/operating roles for private equity firms such as Bain Capital, Fidelity Ventures, APAX Partners, Thoma Cressey, Charterhouse, Trident Capital, Oak Investment Partners, Capital, FT Ventures and others. Carl is a graduate of Bucknell with dual degrees in Mathematics and Civil Engineering and has completed executive and advanced management programs at Harvard and Columbia Universities.
