Isaac Volin

IsaacVolinIsaac Volin is the Director General, PMI Comercio Internacional, Petroleos Mexicanos (PEMEX)’s trading arm responsible for all exports of crude and imports of refined petroleum products. He is the former Executive Director and Country Manager at BlackRock Mexico, where he was responsible for the firm’s business plan, strategy and execution. Prior to Blackrock, he led a division of Grupo Mexicana de Aviacion as the General Director of the low-cost airline “Click”, where he was previously the group’s Chief Commercial Officer.

Within the public sector, Isaac Volin was Vice President of Regulation and Financial Supervision within CONSAR, the Mexican National Commission and Regulatory Body for Savings and Retirement. Isaac also collaborated with the National Banking and Securities Commission as General Director of Analysis and Monitoring Methodologies.

Isaac holds a degree in Business Administration from the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM) and an MBA from the University of Michigan with emphasis on finance and strategy. Both degrees were received with high honors. Isaac won the National Financial Research first place award from the Mexican Institute of Finance Executives for his thesis in 1988.
